In this pivotal role, you’ll collaborate closely with our Women and Children’s Service and a diverse team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of patient care delivery. In this role, you will serve as a crucial support for our Women and Children’s Service, ensuring seamless administrative operations to optimise efficiency and effectiveness. Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager and Administration Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining daily operations, allowing our team to concentrate on delivering outstanding care. Your responsibilities will include managing schedules, coordinating staffing, auditing, handling data entry, facilitating meetings, and preparing monthly reports, all essential in advancing our service goals.

  • Maitland Hospital demonstrates its commitment to supporting the Indigenous community through its participation in the AMIHS program. This initiative ensures culturally led health services are accessible, with Aboriginal Health Workers and Practitioners playing pivotal roles in delivering culturally appropriate care. AMIHS midwives collaborate closely with these professionals to provide culturally safe maternity services.

About you: 

  • You hold or are willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health Administration or equivalent
  • You have extensive administration knowledge and experience 
  • You are a team player
