Senior Advisor, Communications and Engagement

About This Opportunity  The Senior Advisor, Research Communications and Engagement assists the Research Strategy and Operations Manager, UQ Poche Centre to develop and implement effective research communications, marketing and engagement plans that promote research programs conducted by the Poche Centre for Indigenous Health.Research Communication and EngagementIn conjunction with the Faculty Marketing and Communications Manager and relevant staff:contribute to the development and delivery of the Poche Centre for Indigenous Health (UQ Poche Centre) Marketing and Communications plandevelop targeted communications and initiatives that strengthen relationships and collaborations with Centre Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander audiences, stakeholders, students, staff and key external audiencessupport current research activities and engagement goals of the Centre through providing proactive marketing and communications advice to the Centre and specific research staff.Prepare well written culturally appropriate content for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander audiences such as flyers, publications, electronic direct mail and online material that supports researchers and the translation of research impacts for Centre audiences.Project manage, using Wrike, the delivery of targeted, timely and engaging marketing and communications tactics from the agreed Centre Marketing and Communications Plan.Assist with collating and writing research and reporting submissions and prepare presentations for senior representatives as required.Lead the planning and execution of agreed Centre engagement activities.Represent the Centre at marketing, communications and engagement events as needed, which may require attending events outside normal working hours and taking photos or securing and conducting interviews as content/story opportunities.Maintain quality assurance standards and ensure all marketing and communication material and content is accurate and complies with UQ standards and Faculty processes.Build productive relationships to proactively and collaboratively identify opportunities to profile the university, students, alumni, research, projects, partnerships, academics and staff.Monitor the progress and outcomes of marketing activity and initiatives, and oversee regular reporting and updates to Faculty, School and Centre stakeholders.
