Senior Project Officer – Aboriginal Digital Social

About the opportunity

Bringing together online resources created for and by Indigenous Australians, WellMob is an important tool for frontline health workers such as mental health, community health, wellbeing workers and education and youth services to tap into when assisting their clients. To further support this valuable service, the team are now looking for an experienced Project Officer to assist with developing material, training, and other culturally relevant tools to be used by health professionals specifically for Indigenous communities on a digital platform.

Your key responsibilities (but not limited to) will be to:

  • support the UCRH eMHPRAC team to provide frontline health and wellbeing workforce with general awareness and professional learning and development opportunities using the resources found on WellMob
  • create, develop, and implement educational resources
  • drive innovative ways to deliver eLearning
  • develop education designs to improve learning outcomes
  • provide advice, training, and support to allow practitioners to make the best use of the educational tools available to them
  • design creative indigenous centred learning experiences, that are based on culturally responsive principles.
  • create online training materials that may include short videos, animations or instructional notes demonstrating the use of d-SEWB tools in clinical practice and how, when and what to use on the website with the support of graphic design/ digital media specialists

About you

  • understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander concepts of social and emotional wellbeing, common mental health and wellbeing issues and associated health and wellbeing services
  • experience in health and wellbeing promotion and education or developing associated training materials
  • experience in working collaboratively in a team environment, including offering mentoring and support for peer workers where appropriate•experience working across online forums including video-conferencing and production of associated video, audio and print-based materials
  • effective communication skills and ability to work autonomously and within a team
  • experience working with PowerPoint and other relevant Microsoft programs
  • excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and strong problem solving ability.
