Remuneration: $81,581 – $108,532 per annum + 11% superannuation

About the Role

As this is a new model of care for HNELHD, the successful applicant will be pivotal in the design and implementation of this program. The successful applicant will work in close collaboration with members across Maternity, Child and Family Health and Aboriginal health Services and with external partners of Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) to promote comprehensive and seamless care across the continuum of perinatal care. 

The applicant will be supported by the Violence, Abuse and Neglect team and connected wo the Ministry of Health Brighter Beginnings Strategic Network. You will have access to Clinical and Cultural Supervision within the role and be supported by the wider perinatal networks of Hunter New England Local Health District. Further education opportunities will be supported within this role if desired through ECAV Certificate IV in Aboriginal Family Violence.

Where you’ll be working

  • The successful candidate will be working within a new NSW Health and Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) co-designed model of care to support women and families referred to Pregnancy Family Conferencing. 
  • The successful applicant will be working with a variety of professionals within the Violence Abuse and Neglect and also the wider perinatal services across HNELHD. 
  • Location for this position is negotiable within HNELHD.


About You
You will be passionate and committed to ensuring families are engaged and supported through the perinatal period. The successful candidate must be organised, be able to work autonomously, be adaptive and be able to build relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally to Health. This position would suit clinicians, professionals and workers who have experience and interest in Aboriginal Maternal and Infant Health Services, Maternity Services, Child and Family Health Services, Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Services, Social Work Services, or Violence Abuse and Neglect Services.
