Albury Wodonga Aboriginal Health Service (AWAHS) is the dominant health and community services provider in North East Victoria and southern Riverina, serving the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community with a wide range of services.

We are looking for a qualified person who has the experience and passion to reduce chronic disease morbidity and mortality of Aboriginal people. We seek someone with skills in preventative social marketing activities, expansion of the Indigenous health sector and building the capacity for health care services to deliver effective services to manage chronic disease, including smoking cessation and remote patient iHealth monitoring. 

The CDOW will work closely with the chronic disease team and service providers to build service capacity in the local community. 

If you have similar experience and possess a Certificate III or higher in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care and understand the health issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, then this is the job for you.

You must be Aboriginal /Torres Strait Islander and be eligible for Medicare Provider registration.
