The Capacity Development PlatformEstablished in 2019, the Platform within the Wardliparingga Aboriginal Health Equity Theme helps strengthen the existing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce which will increase Indigenous-led research and support the growth of the next generation of Aboriginal health researchers. The Platform is one of five platforms within the Aboriginal Health Equity Theme of the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute.

About the role

This position is a part of a dynamic Aboriginal leadership team committed to building pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, researchers, and practitioners through capacity strengthening activities and partnership building in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health research in South Australia and nationally.

The position will utilise:an in-depth understanding of academic career trajectories within the health and medical research sector;an extensive network within the university and non-university research environment in South Australia and/or nationally; and an unwavering commitment to promoting the development of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander academic research talent.
