Registered Nurse – Coronary Care

About the role: 

In this dynamic role, you’ll be at the forefront of patient care, managing high equity and Coronary Care Unit (CCU) patients with complex needs. You’ll handle advanced respiratory support, including high flow, BiPAP, and CPAP, while overseeing admission and discharge planning. Your expertise will be pivotal in managing arterial lines and providing meticulous post-operative monitoring. This position offers excellent career progression opportunities and includes direct reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) of North and CCU.

Our dynamic education team offer nursing education and training sessions enabling staff to develop core nursing skills, while also providing opportunity for the development of advanced specialty skills contextual to practice. Clinical Nurse Educators are available to provide point of care education and support enabling the implementation of best practice. Ongoing professional development is paramount aligning with our commitment to innovation and quality improvement. 

Where you’ll be working: 

At Belmont Hospital, you’ll be part of a close-knit and supportive team within our 8-bed ward, where you’ll work alongside one other experienced RN each shift. Our small, cohesive team includes skilled RNs and ENs who are eager to share their knowledge and expertise. Belmont Hospital provides a range of inpatient and outpatient acute and sub-acute health care services to the Lake Macquarie community. The workspace is open, clean, and bathed in natural light, creating a pleasant environment for staff, patients, and visitors alike. Requirements and additional information: 

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Casual opportunities may be available for recommended applicants
