NACCHO in partnership with the Department of Health and Aged Care, delivered the roll out of the Alternate Access Model (AAM) as part of the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program to the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO) sector from July 2021 to August 2023. Â The primary goal of the bowel cancer screening program is to increase participation in bowel cancer screening among community members.
Training and resources have been developed by NACCHO and the Department of Health and Aged Care to support the ACCHO staff, equipping them with the knowledge and tools needed to deliver effective bowel cancer screening to community members.
